First organizational meeting was March 24, 1950. The founders met a few times to set the mission statement, bylaws, etc. until the official founding on Apr 28, 1950.
That first year there were 23 businesses who were members and thirty sets of construction plans were in the office that year. By the first annual meeting there were 43 members. The meeting was held at the Northland Hotel on Apr 3, 1951.
